Heartful
Living

Your task is not to seek for love,
but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself
that you have built against it

~ Rumi

The path to your inner joy

A Heartful Path is a way of living, parenting and being that permeates each step of our life. Together we can brighten the light in this world.

The Heart is the door that makes way for change in the human spirit and soul. When something touches the heart, it becomes a part of us, not just something we can quote. When our heart is open and healthy, we can effectively and powerfully connect to others.

The great poet Rumi (born 1207 C.E.) believed in the religion of love and spoke the language of the Heart. I was born in the land of poets and heart seekers, and I desire to connect my heart to yours on this journey. In one of my daughter’s favorite songs, Rumi states: There is a pact between joy and me, because joy belongs to me. There is a word between me and the beloved, because the beloved is my soul.

Let us tap into our innate joy, let us shift our consciousness, and allow the energy of love to penetrate all that we do, and permeate the world.

Allow me to be your guide and illuminate the path to your inner joy.

Energy Medicine

As a certified Energy Medicine Yoga (EMYoga) instructor , we will be using meditation, reflection and the power of yoga to tap into nine innate energy systems, activate the parasympathetic system and allow ease and flow into your life.

Approach

Parents need a wholesome approach to raising their children. With proper support for the well-being of parents the difficult job of taking care of offspring becomes more palpable and understandable. Just as a marathon runner needs to have nourishment, sleep and a strong mindset, so too does a parent taking care of his or her children.

Parent coach

As a certified Parent Coach, I’ll be marrying several parenting techniques, including but not limited to ‘Present Moment Parenting’ by Tina Feigal, ‘Simplicity Parenting’ by Kim John Payne, the pioneering work of Jane Nelsen and Lynn Lott in ‘Positive Parenting’ and conscious parenting work of Dr. Shefali Tasabary.

Parenting is not a role, it is a Relationship

The parenting journey starts with You

Yoga is the union of the body, mind and spirit. As the French philosopher Pierre Teilhard de Chardin stated “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience.” If we already exist as spiritual beings, then what better way to understand ourselves than through learning and growing at the soul level.

For me the soul level is all about accessing my deepest energetic source. The heart is the most powerful source of electromagnetic energy in the human body. When my heart is clear, my intentions are pure, I’m aligned with my divine path and I continue to blossom with the universal flow. As parents, the more we can create the connection and contentment within ourselves, the better we can parent and make connections to our children.

This world and that world are forever giving birth:
Every cause is a mother; the effect born is as a child.
When the effect was born, it too became a cause,
So that it might give birth to wondrous effects.
These causes follow generation upon generation,
But it takes a very well-illumined eye
to see all the links in the chain.

~ Rumi
